Wasn't it next to the wood were you got bogged down in moist soil before packing the tyres with old sticks and needed to be pushed out :clapper:

The BMI Magnum is the best approved trap over here, with the dinner bell style trigger and magnum spring, for rabbits the 116 is the ticket , work out similar prices to a fenn trap..

Nice work ian and very nice holders they are too.Ive just got the internet back in so ill be keeping an eye on your trapping and snaring outings lol......P&G ;)

Heres a similar stand, the difference being this one has inverted hinge bends, basically this style holds on the inner side of the trap hinges, the style I used holds on the outer side of the hinges...There simple and very effective, as they not only support a trap rigidly in soil they also double as trap anchors utilising the leg through trap ring... victory.gif

The ones I use were made by pegandgun, if you have some round bar, a set of small bolt cutters and a small welder they are easy enough made if you make a small jig... Alternatively try and send peg a message he may be able to help...

 

Theres various ways of stabilising traps but I find these the best by far for soft/hard ground...
