IanB 0
Had a call off a farmer who was having rabbit damage to a wheat field, they had eaten off 25 yards into the wheat alongside the margin, so I snared and trapped the area on both sides of the hedgeline... Taken over 100 rabbits, heres a few photo's of some, removed cubby on photos, to show catch... Been feeding fox cubs the guts further down the same hedgeline! Quote Link to post
MR TEA POT 1,287
Rubbish post that, not enough photo's . Well done ian, nice bit of trapping and snaring there Quote Link to post
Holdaway 2
Very nice going IanB, what had had a go at the bunny in the lower pic? I can see I will have to get some 120's... very inspiring. H Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Crows, Stoats, etc hard keeping em off, they get in at anything... I'm not real bothered about the catch, but I'll use what I can, I'm there to get rid at the end of the day... You will not better the 116 holdaway for ease of setting and power... I wouldn't bother with a double spring, more hassle... But personal choice end of day.. Quote Link to post
Holdaway 2
You're right Ian, my mistake. I said 120 and I meant 116. I forgot the double spring. Still excellent going. H Quote Link to post

stephen58 1
Hi Ian , an "awesome " piece of trapping there , just as a matter of intrest , where do you buy your cubby tunnels from ?? best regards Steve Quote Link to post
IanB 0
To be honest, use anything, I normally use 2" weld mesh as its easy to get hold of or harris fencing, just bend at an angle, to form the familiar cubby shape, then place over trap, 1" weld mesh is best as it prevents anything getting in, but for the location I'm using the 2" is ok, if your setting bodygrips and kanias up at height in trees, 1" mesh is preferred to prevent any birds, popping through meshes... I just use holders for soft ground I nabbed more off pegandgun now hes retired , allows rapid setup on run throughs...Very deadly and doubles as a trap anchor... You can see some other style of tunnels in the photo, these are very good quality tunnels, from Magnum Trap Co, they have a trap support clip in centre, are powder coated with 1" solid weld mesh, and a rear door that can be left closed for a blind set or open for run throughs.... To be honest I've used fenns and bodygrips, but in these situations... No digging in, , mucking with soil, enlarging entrances, like with a fenn. The bodygrips kick Butt in this situation, for speed and resetting... Quote Link to post

I wonder whos been dissing, EM! I could say a lot worse Quote Link to post
