night moocher 41 Posted May 25, 2009 Report Share Posted May 25, 2009 Hi all ,just thought i'd share this with you ,while waiting for the weigh in at a local match in westmids we saw a white pike striking at rudd or roach ,having never seen a white one ive made it my mission to catch it and photo it properly. only picture i got is on a phone so sorry for the bad quality. he would be about 4/5 lbs only a jack.................................atb steve Quote Link to post

night moocher 41 Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) Update on pike, sorry to say iv'e put a lot of time into this fish only to findout that its been foulhooked and eaten ,the local polish and other minorities have been taking tench and carp for the table out of this stretch of canal. was told by match men yesterday they caught a glimps ov it in the weed and foulhooked him [what a f*****g shame]. after a few choice words as to why they didn't stop them taking it ,my challenge was over. if only id been there at the time i would have punched lumps of the scavenging twats. i only hope they catch something of the fish they are illigally taking out the canal............ fish of a life time gone............................................ atleast i took a photo.
