collie greyhound with a bit of whippet in it, stay away from the bull tho ;)

Says the guy who has never seen a proper Bull X at work! You start a topic about Bull crosses looking for information on them when you obviously dont know much about them, then you give this kid a warning ''stay away from the Bull though''.Try and give a warning about a Bull X when you have been out with a hard working Bull X that puts 110% into everything it does (Good luck with that one!).

About your question..I would go with a Bedlington Greyhound or a 1/4 Bull 3/4 Grey (my opinion).

Atb mate Bg

there hard to come by lol

Shows that your fellow ''lurcher men'' and yourself obviously dont have what it takes to bring on a Bull X!And with your knowledge of that type of dog im not suprised! :clapper: Maybe if you ask someone on here with a well bred working Bull X that you havent made a c**t of yourself infront of too take you out you will think differently.Once again...good luck with that!

Well it depends on what you want your dog too do.If you want a dog thats going to put 110% into everything it does get a Bull X,if you want a dog thats going to run on certain quarry which it knows it has a chance of catching get a Collie X.But i personally dont think you can beat a Saluki Bull Greyhound.:D Atb Bg.

Edited because i spelt Collie wrong.

i use to have a bull x bitch my 4th lurcher and a will tell u 1 thing she was the best dog guarantead to fill the pot on a day or a nyts work

i would rather have a bull x than a first cross collie gray. anser 2 [bANNED TEXT] question mate for [bANNED TEXT] first lurcher i would go for the beddie whippet thay make good friendly and obiedient dogs my dad kept them and deerhound x for 25 year with a few diff mind lol but what ever u choose dont poosh it or try it to hard to start working as it will poot the dog off and lose intrest most people will tell u that any. atb.

if your not sure lads get a bit of everything, ihavent got bull because i have young children and was concerned- not going 2 lie.

but what i got was a 1/2 greyhound-1/4 whippet-1/8 collie- 1/8 bedlington, at the moment shes six weeks and is ruthless with the terriers and whippet.

it hasnt got no fear , obviously having this pup you take the breeders word , country music lines she said, seen the dam ,takes all legal quarry alegedly.

but it just goes to show that this pup has a bit of everything apart from bull,my own choice because of kids, nothing against the breed, i like 2 play safe, keep your eyes open these lurchers are about and happy mooching :)

my pack consists of 1 springer spanial 1 fellxpatt and a collie/grey/beddy/whippet x saluki/grey and a couple of ferrets! does the job for me! i'm breeding my bitch next year to get a pup as one lurcher is never enough! ;)

Forget about this or that cross: just make sure to get a decent pup from good working parents and grand parents etfc. Go for steady temperament, brains and sound physique, and probably something without too much Saluki in it as they prefer to be self employed. Biddability is ultra important: you don't want something over exitable tearing about like a headless chicken.

Personally I stick with lurcher to lurcher from the same lines, and also: don't fall for an owner's hyped up boasts of 'it can do this or this'. Far too many people boost their own dogs up without really knowing or having the experience themselves to know what a good steady lurcher really is.

It's a minefield out there for the unwary! Too much rubbish being bred all the time.
