allgame 0
i doubt iv missed half a dozen hares under the lamp my whole life and yet in the day iv proberly only caught a couple dozen, lamping a joke when it comes to hares, they can still move its not as if they only have three legs at night but they make mistakes and alot of them Quote Link to post
Guest miller1989
Fact: Hares are easier to catch in the lamp than through the day,but there still not easy at all as for as easy as a bunny pmsl you sure you know the difference between bunny and a hare! Hares are good sport day or night and always a challenge for any running lurcher! Quote Link to post

Guest SJM
lamped hares are easy ive seen guys with dogs that run daytime hare after hare catch very little or none .then go out lamping with same dog then catch 2 or 3 .that to me says there easier . I have seen some good coursing dogs not able to bend a hare what is up and running to its place of safety on the lamp, probably because it hasnt got as much time as it needs to bore the hare to death! I can guarantee the hares wouldnt have time to get bored if his dad lamped hares with his dogs Joe, but he doesnt cos he wants there to be hares left in Scotland for the future generations of dogmen to come Quote Link to post
Penda 3,420
Me personally i think that it all depends on how clued up the hare is "preban" i will admit i have have sum silly easy hares on the lamp and i have had the dog pick them up straight out the seat then on other occassions i have had hares that have turned the dog in side out in the lamp and by me there are alot of lamped hares Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
max are your coursing dogs schooled to lamp? Not exactly. They never got the time spent on them as young dogs learning the ways of the beam, from time to time i went out with lads who enjoyed lamping and gave them a go and let them do the best they could. max we should have a night out this coming season.
