hello all

I am new to the site although I have looked in for a while.

my name is Steve I've been hunting in all its formats for over 30 years.

I still have an open ticket FAC and shotgun licence, which both had a pretty good selection of calibre rifles and shotguns.

I had the discovery, 3 springers, and ferrets and was game shooting, lamping foxes and the start of deer stalking.

About 3half years ago i had a form of blood poisoning which caused a lot of nerve damage and subsequently I was left numb and paralised down the right hand side(nerves control motor and sences).

this left me unable to shoot and at the time I was vice chairman of my game shooting club.

After a year I decided to pack in the shooting as I couldn't do it and organising everyone else to go shooting was getting me down.

I sold everything, landrover, ferrets, reloading equipment and all my guns, and i am left with one springer.

Nearly four years on I have come to terms with my dissabilities and am getting the urge to get back on the bike so to speak, maybe not such a big bike but start shooting in some form.

I've noticed even in the couple of years I have been out that things have moved on e.g fox hunting ban .17 hmr now seems very popular.

Anyway sorry to ramble on and spill my guts, I must be excited at the thought that I'm really doing something to get going again.

Just joined a rifle range, been around a few old farms to say hello and sending my licence in for variation to replace a few guns, and will be hoping some of you will be able to fill in the gaps of the last few years if i have any questions.
