ryanwylie 0
I've recently bought a new Steyr Mannlicher Classic, half stock, .243. Im for using a Schmidt and Bender 8x56 scope with 30mm tube. I want to use good quality steel mounts but im unsure what will work out at the right height. Where my eye is comfortable on the stock, i'll be wanting the scope as low as possible, though I know it will be restricted due to the size of the front part of the scope. Can mounts be got in different heights?? Any recommendations on manufacturers - WARNE? All help appreciated Quote Link to post

danebrewer10 6
I was gonna mention Apel as well, warne, err leupold, but as long as their good quality, i don't really think that steel has any real advantage over aluminium, perhaps peace of mind if you're not sold on aluminium and like all steel guns... Thanks anywy As Riohog has already said, this is the sort of thing you should be looking at http://www.bushwear.co.uk/nostyles.php?Pro...&ClassID=46 I bought one when I got my howa, found it brilliant, I just added a couple of pieces of cardboard to raise it slightly more. Its also got a handy little zip compartment which you can put extra rounds, insurance/ FAC copy etc. Quote Link to post
