gossy 3
when i received my certificates i immediately went out and purchased a shot gun and a 22lr the owner of the gun shop told me that you then send a letter to the firearms and licensing department and they will send you replacement licenses with the guns on them. its been over a month now. have i made a mistake?? or is it normal to have to wait this long?? thanks in advance gossy Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
he's wrong. They won't send a replacement license, the bit that he filled in on your FAC counts as the rifle being on there, until such time as you renew or have a variation, at which point the licensing dept will print an FAC with the firearms in the firearms possessed section. Don't worry, all is well! Quote Link to post
NID 0
Hi Gossy, when i purchase a shotgun the gun shop notifies the firearms department, but i have to send letter to them too telling them of the purchase also (recorded delivery). Thats the way they go about it here, could be different elsewhere, atb NID. Quote Link to post
