kristian 9
I've only got hobs but looking to get 2 jill kits soon and i was just wondering do people pay for the service of borrowing someones vasectomised hob or is it just out of good will? I know one of my mates gave away a vasectomised hob cause it was fighting with his other hob and the one he kept was a better worker. Just interested to know poples views! Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
Well if someone offers a free service thats up to them but i would always offer something in return for use of the hob Quote Link to post
ulverston moocher 60
Well that sounds about fair to me kay but even if you had to pay a fiver or so its still cheaper than the jill jab it is £ to have the hob done at my vets and I will offer my hob for free to people to service there jills when I decide wich one to keep out of my litter and when it is the right age to do the op.I can understand why people would want a fee for the service of the hob though as it isnt cheap and it is a way of clawing back some of the cash it cost for the vascectamy. I suppose you could offer food or shaving if you hadnt any money , i used to get lots of rabbits & pidgeons from blokes that came here to use the vasectomised hob when i took ferrets in years ago Quote Link to post

andy mecca 5
DEFINITELY WORTH A DRINK FOR THE LEND OF A HOB AS ALREADY BEING MENTIONED THE OP IS'NT CHEAP Quote Link to post
stubby 175
I always asked that the jills came to my hob, having availble empty courts where I can leave them for the weekend, to hopefully gurantee mating, I would expect a drink out of it, or a pkt of baccy, otherwise someone could turn up with multiple jills and expect them all done and fed for a weekend Quote Link to post

kreet 0
if your lending the hob you would obviously drop it of and vice versa so as the person borrowing wasnt collecting then you know where the ferret is etc Quote Link to post
