Guest anonymous
iv got rifles and some fairly handy lurchers....i shoot for pest control and run my dogs for plesure...round our way there plenty of inbreds with running dogs that have made the fox's lamp shy.which is fine because i get to do 550 yards head shots..its the sudden explosion of idiots with lurchers thats the problem..you see to own rifles you have to be fit and propper and have the ground to shoot over.with a dog you need enough to buy it and away you go....it made me laugh reading all the bullsh*t reports some of the super star lurcher boys were posting about the amount they were getting,as soon as it came to the thl compertition and there were people to gudge a varifiy the amounts they were getting the numbers drastically came down..that to me says there w#nkers... so before you start slagging rifle lads perhaps you could get your own house in order.............. Your talking about lurchermen talking bullshit regarding brags and yet your telling us the foxes are lamp shy and you shoot them from 500 yards!!! Do you have some super dooper lamp that the rest of us don't have? Shooting a hire powered rifle over 500 yards in the dark lol. the shot im talking about was actually 547 yards,i use a £2000 scope and a blitz lamp....it was witnessed by a lad off hear aswell, look on my profile comments ......i enjoy working my dogs the most i must say that if i could only have one thing it would be my dogs.....there are plenty of lamp shy fox's around hear because of the inbreds with lurcher's...with the rifle i use you dont and i havnt had any runners.if you hit them there dead.your lack of knowledge is confuseing shot gun injure's rather than high power centre fire's using expanding amo.....my field craft is just fine thanks while some of you lurcher boys are playing at catch the rabbit i earn a reasonable living from agrecultural pest control..... You came on here saying you hated the lurchermen bragging about the catches they have and yet all you've done is bragged As for it being a shotgun that injures foxes don't matter, your all the same in my book. If your going to tell me you've never injured a fox that got away, I'm going to tell you your a lier. You think your 547 shot is something to brag about, the fact you are bragging about it shows how much of a fluke it was. Any decent shooter wouldn't have took the risk but then, maybe they don't have egos to stroke. As for your patronising comments regarding us lurcher boys playing at catching rabbits while you, the mighty one earn a reasonable living, I don't earn a living doing it cos it wouldn't pay me anywhere near what I earn doing other things. It's a hobby, look it up. Quote Link to post
ratmogit 16
in pembs theres not many hares. there was one small pocket of them. a couple of pricks went up with rifles when they found a market with the local butcher. they nearly killed the whole population. no one ran these with the dogs because it was only a small group of them anyway Edited May 25, 2009 by ratmogit Quote Link to post
Guest lurchers&terriers
i myself have nothing against people shooting just the shooting of hares i don't like but then there is a place for it i suppose. there's good and bad in all our field sports. lurcher folk hunting and killing all year round, people with guns shooting anything and everything, Its important to keep a open mind and not get to hot and bothered about it all i lost a good bit of permission not to long a go to some lads with guns. The farmer needed results and i didn't have the time. I wasn't bothered and even pointed them to the best bits. Were all in this together and its about time everyone stoped bickering and even try other field sports before you judge them Quote Link to post

He pull`s up in his old van with his dogs in , and lets em out to terrorise every living thing there . They run wild , digging up the kits and generally doing what they want , and this guy just watches them. They run round barking and shitting everywhere and its a pain in the arse as well as a disgrace . Ive even had to neck a `mauled ` rabbit , that his old german shepard had played with . Nobody would run these hares anyway would they ?? even if it was just a small group . Quote Link to post
