The mackeral are in and the waters are "just" starting to warm up. If you need any tips the guy that owns the tackle shop in St David's main square is very helpful. Quote Link to post

aaronpigeonplucker 32 Posted May 25, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 25, 2009 welli have been here for 3 days and i9 have caught 19 mackereal but cannot find any bass. i guy caught a 9 ib smooth hound right next to me and it put up a hell of a fight by the look of it. going to try different spots tomorrow. If thats all you've caught them mate your being a bit bloody useless .Most of the surf beaches(newgale,new port,st davids) should all have bass lurking,look out for feeding/diving birds there your'll find the mackeral being pushed up by bass or bloody dolphins lol.
