shakka 5
Jay from northern-staffords is holding his first northern show in Durham There will be Lure racing A frame and Weightpull sprint competitions. by jay Hi guys and girls. After a bit of thought the first NORTHERN STAFFORDS event will take place on 14th June. The events will be set out the same as a SACS day: Weight pull sprint divided into 2 groups, under 20kg and over 20kg, 2 different tyres being used. A frame which is an open class regardless of dogs size or weight. 100 metre lure race, again 2 groups, under 18 inches and over 18 inches. There will also be a spring pole, flirt poles to try your dog used to them if not already using. Puppies are also welcome, A very small tyre, small angle A frame and 50 metre lure comp for all puppies under 9 months old. It will be £2 per dog to enter and in each event there will be medals for the top 3 dogs and and award for dog of the day. I must stress the venue is a temporary one as i want to get Northern Staffords up and running asap as i know there is a massive interest. There are no toilet facilities at the field but if anyone is in desperate need my house is 200 metres from the field. Hopefully i will be able to persuade Rachel to make some sarnies and buy some cans etc. Now guys and girls, i need names of yourselves, dogs, there weight and height. Im hoping for a good turnout, Just simply reply to this thread and ill take names from that so i have a good understanding of how many people and dogs to expect. The address of the venue is: 45 First Street Bradley Bungalows Consett County Durham DH8 6JT This is my address as i will meet people to show parking etc. The show will start at 11am prompt. Thanks guys and girls, i look forward to hearing from you all. Pm me for more info didnt know if i could post a link.
shakka 5
by jay (northern staffords) Just a quick message to let you all know that we have managed to secure a better venue for the first Northern Staffords show. The New venue will still be placed in Leadgate, County Durham, but we have arranged to hire the local community centre for the day, somewhere we could hold a more regular event. I hope you are all as excited as we are, as we will now be able to provide toilet facilities and also the option to purchase foods and drinks from the kitchen. We'll have a range of hot and cold beverages available. I'm sure many of you will appreciate this facility, considering that you are making a substantial drive to the event. The community centre looks out onto a rather large sized field, which will be more than sufficient to hold the activities on. Hopefully this should make it a fun day out for you all. As with now hiring these facilities, there will have to be a slight increase of price, just so we can cover the costs for the day, this now being £5 per dog. I do hope that this won't hinder any attendance as the new facilities are more than worth the little extra expense. I attach the new address below, should people like to work out a journey planner. The event will run from 12-4, but it is advisable that you attend at 11:30 in order to register your dog and sign the disclaimer. This will enable us to start the event on time, so we have plenty time. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions on 07737930460 Leadgate Community Centre Back Plantation Street Leadgate Consett Co Durham DH8 7PP Edited May 22, 2009 by shakka
shakka 5
by jay northern staffords Due to Durham Council this event has unfortunately had to be cancelled. The fact of no public liability and improper risk assessments made the council act like complete dicks and said until they see sufficient evidence i have rectified this i have no legal right to allow the show to go on anywhere!! Im contacting all other options for a future venue but for now this weekend is cancelled. sorry to everyone.
