arcticgun 4,548
I use Eukanuba puppy medium and raw mince with my two, atb Richard
winnie 1
Raw will be fine, chicken, mince, lamb, raw veg, cooked pasta mixed in. Ignore all the people who say that you need some type of dry puppy food stuff, it is utter nonsense. Feed red meat and white meat alternate feeds or the pup may scour (get the shits) Raw rabbit carcass, meaty bones, all good for puppys.

conkergush 0
Hi guys, Just purchased a new lurcher pup and was wandering what people's opinion was on the best puppy food (pup 6 weeks old). Obviously looking for high growth nutritional varierty....! Cheers. What you feeding it the now? I know I shouldn't rant and I've had stress on here before for it.................. but..................... WTF did you buy a lurcher when you know f**k all about them even down to what to feed it?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????? Sorry in advance........ I think that is REALLY unfair, no-one is born an expert, he was asking for an OPINION on some good foods No need to be so rude, plus you never even aswered the question, how about giving the bloke some advice instead of just being an arse Right................. So I'm meant to believe this guy has bought a dog, brought it home, then wondered what to feed it??? Pleaaaseeeee. ANYONE with half a brain knows you feed it the SAME food it has been fed on from the person who you bought it from!!! Just like us a sudden change of diet will give it the runs and do it no good at all. SO, my advice is, get on the phone, tell the person you bought the dog from that you are a numpty for not asking what the dog is fed on and hey presto, you have the answer......... How do you know that he hasn't got some of the food it was on but wants to change it over for whatever reason????????? yes you feed a pup with the food they are used to but that doesn't mean you can not change their food!!!!! Just my opinion 8)hi just seen the pic of your beautiful dog and noticed u were from norfolk ! I am in the process of looking for a puppy and was wondering if you knew of any breeders in the area / Thanks

Obviously looking for high growth nutritional varierty....! Cheers. A well balanced diet mate. Don't get too obsessed with the high protien/growth complete foods. Vasriety is what pups need IMO. Plenty of raw meat and bones too.....good luck JD
sandymere 8,263
Variety, as above, and if you use a complete I'd vary the brand, gradually introduce a new one, once the pup is over 6 months in case of supply probs etc. Table scraps are always a good way of adding varietys with some butchers waste meat . Good luck s
