midnight walker 8
just take it slow and steady they can be a bit nervous the more gentle you are with them the better results thats only my experience with the one i had but i think it depends on how much saluki is in it Quote Link to post

coursing_lad 45
dont be heavy handed , as with all young pups , they can be frightend very easy , but the saluki x's tend to be abit more fragile ect , and can go back over very quickly , good look with your new saluki x , CL Quote Link to post
emeera 1
people say alot of things about salukis i was nearly totly put of having one , you jst have to have patience it was hard work when i got my male he was 8mths and the only thing he could do was run around a show ring he wasnt house trained he wouldnt come when i called him he didnt know anything , it wasnt his fault but at the time it was really stressful and it seemed easier to give up i remeber i spent the first 3days cryin cus he was peein an pooing in the house and stressing me out and he didnt even want any affection he was a dog on his own , but 2weeks later he was house trained and now we have the strongest bond ever , i find the breed very very loyal and protective, intelligent , and loadsssssssssss of fun dont listen to all the bad things people say tip, i got told never hit a saluki -changing the tone of your voice works and they are quite fast learners Quote Link to post

If I need to tell you then there really is no point!    you u dont kno why u said it u mean lol, you stalking me OK, look at the picture again, what do you see? I see two sad dogs looking out of a run down hut with a run locked with a screwdriver. The side of the hut is full of crap..... full picture is one of depression, agreed? Put it this way, you are going on holiday, no one to look after your dogs, you need to pay someone to look after them, you turn up with the dog and this is where they are kept!!! Are you happy to go on holiday and enjoy yourself knowing this is where your dogs are being kept? EXACTLY!!! Well, these dogs are going to live out there lives here!!! So, if the guy wants tips, like I said, first, take care of the living quarters and give them a bit of quality of life before thinking of anything else...... Will that explanation do??? You'd think I just come on here to be nasty................. Quote Link to post
