HELP!!! Easy to sort in five minutes, I'll pm you later. Your probably using a CHECK chain incorrectly but you can stop it easily with a leather collar and lead....................... bluedogge 1
i find if i put the lead right high up so its almost behind the ears it stops mine in his tracks n he walks sensibly. the lead is a run of the mill rope type but when working him i use huh hmmmm a STRONG STUFF collar and STRONG STUFF slip lead :clapper:
Wild_and_Irish 11
every time he tries to drag you shorten up the lead so your hand is just above his collar, when he stops pulling let out some slack, if he does it again keep repeating and he'll get the idea
gnipper 6,411
Flick the lead so that the length of it slaps him on the back, doesn't hurt them but they soon get the idea
Strong Stuff 2,171
Shorter slip leads available from tomorrow! Will give that a try, my shoulder is sore as feck today after a good few hours out last night. Mines spot on road walking, but gets a bit excited when out lamping .......... Strong Stuff 2,171
Bull X's that behave definitely exist! There's a man I know got a cracking animal, Celt, doesn't even have it on a lead! I'd say it was a training issue, it's down to me to learn how to sort it and then pass it on to the dog.
riohog 5,701
there is a feww thing you can do but the easiest is just keep the dog on a short leaddont allow it to walk infront of you
