a few tips for a pup and a new hunter

a few pics of me pup would be greatfull for a bit of advice about the field the ropes on lamping my gos is a collie/grey 5month old naw wat time the best to show him the lamp and the best way to keen him up as he is a lazy sh*t and just wants to chill its not goin to be easy days in the winter month i can esure him that just a bit of info for both us novices as u all say lol thanks for the support lads

take the dog out as early as you like, i wudnt suggest slipping the dog no earlier than 6/7 month just let it watch from a young age until you thinks the pups ready, we all have our own ways of training our dogs and many people will say that 6/7 month is too early but we all have our own ways.

thanks for the reply would you recomend take him out about 5am ish will the rabs b grazin n wa tme do u guys think the go bk to burrow for day you ferritng lads shud no tryd to get him a few day time courses would you rec put him on slip lead or let him strech n u neva no if owt gets up n bolts im getin inpationt coz as soon as he sees a rabbit the penny shud drop shudnt it and wa quarry have you ppl nown collie/grey to take as i have a gun to try me dog on retreving ;) more info the merrier

all dogs are different the dog will let you know when its ready try and get him some easy runs when hes about 6 mounths and see how he gose

and hes a crackin lookin dog best of luck with him

 

also best to keep him on slip lead to start with if you let him run about on his own he might decide to wonder off and hunt for himself and not hunt for you

cheers mate that info was good ill keep him on slip as he tends to wunder but his recalls good is that the collie would you let a bull/grey help him out i think shes a bit head strong n bad on recall she is 2 naw its my bros dog he got her a mixi kill for the frst kill n from that the penny droped wat would you rec

gl mate haws ur dog bred pal haw u get ur dog spotting rabits dnt get me wrong evrything moves my dog pounces on it but not intressted in owt movin ova 100yards its just when near him hes spot on at retreevin tennis ball and i got him a 1lb dummy only aqd it a week its ripped to shreds just got by the teethin stage naw showin a little bit of prospect

so would you all say take him day time naw and hope to get him keen on a few easy daytime bunnys and when september cums try him on lamp would you all recemend let him wach my bros dog a few times to get him use to the beam etc

are you serious boys let the dogs lungs devolpe 8 to 10mths is young enough to start they have a whole life in front of them whats the rush

hel be 9month old by time its lamping season sept so i think hel be ok by then e cheers for all the info post new pics of him on weekend out wi me bros dog hope to see a roger for the penny to click at what time do you tend to see mixi out when do farmers tend to put the poison dwn
