FOXHUNTER 5,021
Well I dragged myself out of bed this morning at 3.45am and was on my ground for 4.30 am. It was quite a nice start to the morning , dry with a little breeze. I skirted round the 1st field and immediately saw a very heavily pregnant doe browsing on a hawthorn bush. As I went past her I noticed a deer traversing down the far hedgerow, a quick squint through the bins confirmed it was a buck. I continued to hug the field edge and noticed the buck was now crossing the field and heading straight towards me I dropped to the ground and got ready on the bipod. The buck continued coming in my direction to about 40 yards which is when I stopped him , placed the crosshairs just below his chin and he folded on the spot. I had only been out 10 minutes , what a start to the morning. I continued stalking but only came across 4 does in total . Quote Link to post
