urgently need help

i was just out with the air rifle i seen a squirel so i cocked the gun put the pellet in and go to fire and nothing happend and its still cocked can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to sort asap please thanks

hold the barrel tight to cock click the saftey off and pull the trigger and slowly lift the barrel until un cocked i think thats how you do it anyone else can tell me if im on the right track

Safety off

 

Pull barrel as far as it will break and keep it there.

 

Squeeze trigger and gently let the barrel go back gently whilst squeezing the trigger a couple of times.

 

The barrel should then spring back into de-cocked position .

as ive only just bought this today im waiting for the person i bought it off to get back to me then if i have to i will contact my gunsmiths thanks anyway

as with the trigger it goes back like it would when you take a shot with it

the person i bought the gun off didnt get back to me a bit dodgy so ive took it to the gunsmiths and he said its either the trigger or the cocking mechanism has popped out so he going to sort it out for me

At least you know its in good hands now and will be top notch when you get it back mate, with some good hunting sessions to come with confidence in the gun.. I have a Lightning too and is an accurate and powerful springer.. lol :thumbs:
