foxfan 479
Think you need to be a bit careful there, as you sounded as though you were saying that the determined dog is inferior to the yapper, We all know that there are situations, where the yapper just wont cut it ? As you know some foxes can be very determined and aggresive, they dont want to bolt and they aint gonna, what does the yapper do then ? Do you walk away from the earth ? Quote Link to post

foxfan 479
No, not trying to twist your words Rod, and i wasnt talking personaly about you walking, just using a hypothetical situation, to make a point. I appreciate you have a useful bitch there, but like many have said before me, "dont knock the hard dog" Quote Link to post

I appreciate you have a useful bitch there, but like many have said before me, "dont knock the hard dog" id never knock a hard terrier,go through all ive posted.infact,id never knock ANY WORKING dog of ANY breed.each work different and my view is,if the owner is happy how their dog works, bugger what others think.as long as the dog does his job. lancer 13
so most of you think its a must that your dog has to stay with the fox till its dug to. Quote Link to post

Guest rodsmith
yep,i get asked to deal with cubs and very often, was weekly last season.id sooner dig a litter rather than hear they have been gassed or poisoned.and your right, theres no challenge atall but i think its a more humane way to dig, rather than some methods.you obviously dont agree.cant leave a hungry litter on a commercial shoot when guns are paying in the region of £30 plus VAT per bird. Guest rodsmith
so most of you think its a must that your dog has to stay with the fox till its dug to. no,i believe the terrier must stay untill it is dug to OR the fox bolts, job done!! Quote Link to post
lancer 13
better if the dog bollts the fox or kills it then comes out,or draws it out. Quote Link to post
