mudman 14
If you want to bow hunt dangerous game such as bear, lion, buffalo, elephant even, then fair enough.. But do it without the protection of someone stood behind your shoulder with a rifle. See how much of a good idea it seems like then. Quote Link to post

For hunting most of the dangerous game you need a PH. But i will stand corrected if i am wrong. Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Thats just my take on things....maybe the bowhunters in the US don't like the idea of terrierwork in the Uk, or lamping rabbits, and maybe someone in the media has wrote a damning report on some of our fieldsports in the UK and it twisting the americans minds...who knows Eh?...But please, don't beleive all the media say....JD Yep spot on, don't beleive all you read chaps. When was the last time you read something in the broadsheets with a positive spin on hunting????????? Quote Link to post
Sterry 0
I know a native american now living over here, and he is really into his bow hunting when he goes back to america (or canada...cant remember) and he'll shoot things with his bow (a modern bow but still admirable) that i wouldnt think of like, elk, mule deer (i think...?) and bears (not beers) and all sorts. no doubt theres skiill in it . But to answer the original question: bow hunting on this country is illegal no matter what animal it is . Edited May 26, 2009 by Sterry Quote Link to post
