donnyc 1,203
Most all of the ouse in bedford will hold eels ..But there some real specimens in the old brick pits nearby..If you fish the river in bedford a lot of it is free fishing ..Best places for the eels is the Queens Park area or the old cut at the bottom of the embankment .If on the embankment fish the old slower part of the river just down from the river bridge or behind the court house or prebend st bridge Quote Link to post

Theres not much to it really. Stunt man Eddie Dewild was in his wadders fishing for bream on the waggler, anyway, he feels a thud on his wadder, looks down and see's this eel hovering by his left boot. He then stated that he gently crouched down and scooped this eel up from the bottom with both his hands. This eel was weighed in at just under 7lb and his photo and a write up was in the angling times. The scary thing is, i actually saw it in the bloody paper! lol Quote Link to post

adam s 32
Well i don't know whether any of you guys are Australian or not, but i am and theres a river in NSW called the goulburn river it runs through the hunter valley and it is full of eels unfortunately also carp, but i find that catching carp and cutting them up into strips and putting that on your hook it works wonders for eels i caught 10 in about 40-50 minutes and no im not lying. dog fox 16
don,t let the carp heads hear that one mate , i here they kill most of carp caught over there as they are a big pest and have took over most water ways killing most native fish . ive also heard people get paid to go a kill them is this correct Quote Link to post
