peoguet 306 engine swap??? pics now added!!

ive got a r reg 306 d turbo (non runner) n got a s reg one to take the engine out and put it in the r reg but both dont look the same i will put pics up soon see if anyone could help me out thanks..

 

the top pics the good one and the others blown. top picture in the bottom right hand corner thers a abs pump well thats what i think it is... thats the bit im not sure about.. any mechanics on here ???????

I'm sure it was that year your talking about Peugeot made the change from a complete mechanical engine to part mechanical.

It would swap out ok except for a few electrical bits that would be connected to the dash, for warning lights ect.

Probably need someone who knows a bit about car electrics.

Good luck, I cant help as all I can do on mine is change the fuel filters thats the extent of my mechanical skills lol but I have got a haynes book for the 306 if that helps and you want anything looked up? :thumbs:

thay should swap over fine you may need to change some pipes and wires so it all connects properly but apart from that its a straight fit

mechanically the engine should go in no problem, i put an engine from a peugeot into a citreon and the only thing i had a problem with and it wasnt really a problem was the fuel system set up as the ecu will be set up to that manufacturers system so if the high pressure pumps are of the same make ie bosch it will go straight in, if not you will have to swap over the injectors the rail and the pump.
