jenksi87 3
does anybody use the bright yellow polyester purse nets and what are they like? i am forever getting my nylon ones tangled and wondered if these could be the solution to my problem? if anybody could comment on these nets and perhaps give me a website to buy them from or a rough price it would be appreciated. thanks jenks Quote Link to post
jenksi87 3
oh and sorry forget to add. would it be better to use say an 8oz net rather than a 4oz to avoid as much snagging and tangling? Quote Link to post
ace32 4
niya jenks, the yellow nets are class,i use em ,hate them thin nylon ones, allways snagging up on stuff and a twat to untangle bunnies from, here is a couple of mine in action, ime making mine up now for the new season, red ones are ok aswell, and they are very easy to see,so you dont tend to loss as many, and the bunnies dont mind them either,so i reckon they are class,ok,ian Quote Link to post

max abell 196
The polyester nets are brill I make my own in yellow / red / orange / and white all spools of polyester available from D.D TIMBER PRODUCTS on 01388 722600 they also sell the polyester nets allready made up if req but obviously they are dearer than making them yourself There are a few other companys that make these nets as well We still have got about 150 nylon nets in 10z nylon that we do use if we a netting up a couple of big burries but any nylon purse nets less than 10z just seem to tangle to easy But when on the smaller burries i much prefere the polyester ones Quote Link to post
The Ferret Tamer 1
Always use coloured spun poly nets, nothing better. FT Quote Link to post
john hubery 9
All I use now are yellow nets, on the rabbiters website there is a tongue in cheek Yellow net club, you dont loose them thats for sure, and theres no difference in the bunnys bolting, they lay and handle just like hemp but with out the need to dry them out every time there used, in fact as a trial I put a bag of 30 polyester nets away last feb that were wet in a game bag and left them in the work shop all summer and didnt look at them again till sept once I had shaken them and got the grey mould dust off them apart from being slightly discoloured they were none the worse for wear and heres a rainbow of nets Quote Link to post
