Guest jade19 Posted May 17, 2009 Report Share Posted May 17, 2009 black dog 16 week old laguna blood fawn bitch same age but oakbank cornstalk lines both very keen pups bold outgoing and full of fun both play about the garden with my ferrets and chase anything else that moves watch this space the dog pups going to be a stocky little guy sire to the bitch was a big 24" dog and dam was 23" so expecting her to be quite big she is a bit more hardy than the dog pup so far . Guest jade19 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Share Posted May 18, 2009 cheers guys they are great fun its just the waiting till there old enough to work thats the hard bit the dog pup has already decided he is up for it we had him for the walk the other day when we were ferreting and he was tied to a tree well a young rabbit passed him and it was a bad move he took a grip of it and there was no letting go lol was surprised he was even intrested usualy mine have been about the year mark before they show any intrest at all but its always bitchs i keep Quote Link to post

Guest DOG-LAAAYYD Posted May 18, 2009 Report Share Posted May 18, 2009 my pal has a little whippet around 7 mounth old alough pure whipet nt my type ov dog wat good little rabbiting dog that is comes of the lmap grate shouldnt be runing that young but it is gunna be a good little dog but like u said there they dont let go ov the rabbits at a young age a carried the dog about a half a mile by holding the rabbit it wouldnt let go haha Quote Link to post

Guest jade19 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Share Posted May 18, 2009 mainly ferreting lamping general mooching my older bitch takes feather aswell ill see how the dog pup faires he is built like a bullx pup so he will probs get the odd look at ginger but yeah mainly rabbit work only fault i have with my older bitch is she is to quick she over runs them alot but its all a bit of fun im not out to take 100 rabbits with them a night its a hobby for me and i love the whippets always have and always will.
