too small is as bad as too big

What would you count to be too small?

I haven't seen yet terriers being too small (I don't say there aren't), while I see tons on them being waaay too big.

seen a 10" black dog, big heart but no size to back it up.(went back to its breeder, no doubt sold on again)

Also owned a 10" bitch that wasnt strong enough to hold on in there.

Thx for replying! Than I have a question: what about the short legged Russells, or the Dachshunds? Is size everything?

couldnt justify having a terrier which could not be spanned where i work them.legs aint really an issue as they can fold them up.it the sitting back and waiting whilst the terrier digs on that gets to me.ive never had a terrier over 13".

what about the sitting back and waiting when your small dog cant hold the quarry for long enough in a decent sized earth?
