Any more info on these vans. The only good thing is the wife refuses to travel in it she says, cant wait to get one.I met a bloke today that has a Fiat diablo(not sure if thats quiet right)it was a 7 seater but he removed the 2 back seats and it was a right tasty looking machine.2 sliding doors at the side and a rear door that lifted straight up.anyone have any remarks/opinions on these.I am not a great Fiat fan but he couldnt praise it enough.

I know a few lads who've had the doblo, they all had trouble with the ecu packing up... although i imagine they'll have sorted it on the newer models....

i used to drive a transit tipper. It was a nice van to drive but the ones we had done clutches for fun.

Maybe something to do with the driver, too many quick getaways... :whistling::laugh:

Been looking at the vans myself but the mrs won't have it. I have researched them and you get around 35mpg from the transits. Alot of people who own the vito's say stay away as they are unreliable , and the vw are the the dogs bollocks. I like the vw carravelle, but the price is out of my range.

I've been looking at the Fiat as a family/dog car, I own a 850 Volvo at the moment but Volvo's are getting smaller and smaller, so I can't go any newer than around a S reg without the boot shrinking!

If you go to Turkey the Fiat Doblo is all they use as Taxi's, it seems every other car seems to be a Doblo?

The driver that picked us up from the airport said he averaged about 45-50mpg (1.9 diesel) had done 350,000Km in it since new in 2004 and had never had a problem with it. (Regular services/parts aside) and he drove it like he stole it on the way to the Hotel!!!

Only thing I've noticed with the 5 seater is the gap between the back seats and back door is quite thin? I don't know if you could fit a dog cage in the back? with the 7seater then no probs.

Cheers

Luke.

Bullmastiff itwas a 7 seater I was checking out, plenty of room for 2 carrying boxes and the rest.My mate from Dublin was on the blower tonight and his boss drives a fiat and again cant praise it enough.i think the stigma is still attachd to it from old days.Id still prefer a transit though.
