donk 12
Had a few transits in my time and im actually thinking along the same lines as yourself mate, they are a good reliable motor, loads of different specifications and models, spares are easy enough to find and usually cheap enough. Loads on Autotrader website or you could try local auctions as they can go fairly cheap there,ex utilities motors etc.

lucylocket 0
And don't forget you have to talk to nice Mr. Customs and Excise when you get the vehicle back and they'll kindly charge you a percentage of what THEY think its worth,NOT a percentage of what you actually paid for it lol!!! jigsaw 11,863
Scent I am aiming to buy in sterling, bigger bang for your buck so to speak,Gizmo I havent a clue when or where their on.I heard of the auctions being held but no idea other than that.Luckylocket the good news is a commercial vehicle is £50 to bring in.I think it maybe diffrent to bring in a crewcab but it still works out cheaper than buying in the republic of Ireland.GWHunter my mechanic told me not to touch anything other than a ford or toyota,he reckons they can be troublesome and the mercs are a costly yoke to fix for parts etc.Fireman your on my wavelength my friend Edited May 16, 2009 by jigsaw

jigsaw 11,863
Any more info on these vans. The only good thing is the wife refuses to travel in it she says, cant wait to get one.I met a bloke today that has a Fiat diablo(not sure if thats quiet right)it was a 7 seater but he removed the 2 back seats and it was a right tasty looking machine.2 sliding doors at the side and a rear door that lifted straight up.anyone have any remarks/opinions on these.I am not a great Fiat fan but he couldnt praise it enough.
