increasing text talk or just bad english

Im getting fed up viewing posts that look like they have been writtern on a mobile phone, and need to be read a few times, to try figuring out what they say, yes I know some people will say its just bad english, or that their schools were crap, but if thats the case, surely its a good reason to download a spell checker, and yes before members start posting quotes of my odd post with a mistyped word, one or two wrongly spelt words are understandable, compared to whole sentances

 

so, as the rules state, no text talk, I will start deleating posts without warning, that I deem to hard to read

I must agree there some are so hard to read ,mine may have the odd spelling mistake but i do try .I blame the keyboard if any of mines wrong

i know that my spelling isn't very good and that my grammar sucks, so i spell check everything i post to make sure that at least that right.

There also seems to be a lot of 'phonetic' spellings on here as well!

Makes me wonder about our education establishments ability

I admit that no one is perfect but some of the posts are unbelievable!

As you so rightly put it spell checker is available but if you cant spell in the first place how do you know what the correct option would be?

Mind, I think there's a big difference between text-talk (sheer bloody idleness) and poor spelling/grammar (poor education).

One of my kids teachers types in text & 'chav' ([bANNED TEXT], Sumfink, Betta, etc) talk on Facebook, I despair that she teaches my boy at times.

I'm only 14, but i bloody hate text talk. It's a load of rubbish. If i was a mod i would delete their posts and them. (It's a good job i'm not) lol
