jasper65 6
F10 does the job. but to be Honest mate Virkon will be fine! I have used it for years without a problem spraying on the glove and just washed it down. leave it to dry and re-greased it, I know another lad who used Detol Kitchen Antibacterial Spray and it does the job no probs.... Don't soak it just wash it down and grease it up again..... Jasper Quote Link to post

Wanna be farmer 0
Would jeyes fluid be okay? Quote Link to post
farlap 19
Would jeyes fluid be okay? many household products ARE NOT SAFE FoR AVIAN USE and if you are going to keep a bird properly you need to learn which products you can use. I use a product called avisafe or otherwise Virkon. Why do you now want to use Virkon??? There are no cheap shortcuts in falconry......only very expensive ones and sadly its the bird that usually pays for it. Quote Link to post
Wanna be farmer 0
I think i will just stick to getting some virkon S. Quote Link to post
craftycarper 0
i always use the anti bacterial spray for the glove, traveling box prior to hosing out, and scrubbed up the birds feet and even perches without a problem and this was passed down to me from mates in avian pest control who do it all the time. I always have a bottle in the landy great for spraying and scrubbing your hands prior to eating or after a few hours out with the gun after gutting rabbits or shooting pigeon.... Quote Link to post

I look back and think of the late 70's earley 's when it was all happening and it seems like yesterday..... Over last weeks Bank holiday I saw some lads on their Vespa's heading to Hunstanton! I said to the missus I'm so enviouse but a bit too old in the tooth now I reckon , Stabs offered a lone of his scooter last year and I had it in my head after looking on Ebay at the Vespa's on investing! but with one thing and another cropping up it never happend.... Great times and a great band of brothers! we all stood together back then....... atb Jasp Quote Link to post

I don't want to use virkon S yet.Any ideas??????? Just give it a damed good wash and scrub with a fine wire brush and hot water. Allow to dry and re-proof with jess grease,ko-choline,or neats foot oil. Job done! I've done mine for years like this and the gloves are still supple. Quote Link to post
Wanna be farmer 0
They're nice looking bikes there. So i can just give it a good scrub with hot water and then hang it out on the washing line? Quote Link to post
