OldTrapCollector 377
might be a duck egg just a guess It does to me also. Not a mallard though, but a smaller duck like a tuftie or teal. It is not a grebe's egg IMO OTC
Tiercel 6,986
Its hard to tell from a photo as ther is nothing to refrernce its size against. As it is supposed to be the size of a chicken egg, there is only one species it can be that is an Owl. Its a Tawny or Barn Owl egg. Tawny owls will lay in old crows nests if there are not suitable nest sites, or all available nest sites are taken. TC Edited May 14, 2009 by tiercel
OldTrapCollector 377
Its a Tawny or Barn Owl egg. I don't think so, they are almost perfectly round and not big enough either The grebe's eggs are not quite eliptical - so they don't fit shape wise either I still reckon it's a duck egg of some kind OTC

stealthy1 3,964
Going by its size in relation to the grass stalks, I'm going for wood pigeon.
