ferret15 0
fraggle go see the buchers (tony) in brookwood tell him marie sent you, don't know what he will be able to sort you out for the ferrets as i normally just feed fresh mince from sainsburys to the young uns .but he will sell you Brest of lamb chicken carcass and offal and pigs trotters for the dog its cheep to as i have the four dogs we need 2.5 kg of raw a day it cost me 12 quid a week to feed my lot. if he cant help with the ferret food go see the one in pirbright they are brothers but some find the one in pirbright more agreeable. toy can be a bit of a funny sod. ferret15 0
i only feed mine mince until thy start tearing bits of the bunnies, if i had a mincer i would mince my own i have never had a problem with the mince thing maybe this is because they are not fully weaned and still getting what they need from there mum. Funfuret 1
Last time id a litter of kitts i fed them mince all summer they turned out like little seals the vet reckoned it was missing vitamins or something never fed young ferrets on it again but older ferrets are fine on it Ferrets can get soft rubber-like bones if they are feed an all meat (no bones) diet because it doesn't have the correct calcium:phosphorus ratio. Personally, I wouldn't feed mine mince regularly unless it also contained minced or ground bone. Edited May 14, 2009 by Funfuret Quote Link to post
stubby 175
rather than mince, just buy chicken legs multi pack, chop into chunks with an axe and feed, Quote Link to post
