mate i applied for it about 18months ago... i passed the first test but failed on the maths and english test...tbh i cant remember if they wouldnt accept you because of your asthma... if i were you id phone up the fire brigades main office and check with them...its pretty hard to get into and its usually the weak, skinky blokes and women who get in lol

hello,..ive applied and failed for the last 3 years running with Tyne and Wear fire brigade

first time i failed on the written test....my fault

second time i failed the application form (imo my application form was perfect so i phoned them up and asked why i failed....they wrote me a letter saying i int meet the criteria for a certain question....the question was give a example of when you have worked with people from different origins and ages

so as im a personal trainer / and fitness instructor....i basically explained that id worked with people from all backgrounds and ages etc etc etc

................but i never met the criteria?????????

3 rd time which was last year i failed the fitness test.......how? well im assuming it was when i had to assemble and de assemble a piece of kit.....i did it but i think i had cross threaded the apparatus.....however i sailed through everything.....infact it was very easy imo........

but my point is it seems very hard to get into.....especially when some people seem to have the ideal credentials to do the job..
