hi, has anyone bought these?? they seem as cheap as 15year old secondhand ones off ebay!! and their mk2 looks like a new mk3 to me??

might just get one of theirs instead of a new mk3.

what do you think??

the first thing I notice, was the sentance in red, written across top of web page

 

BEWARE! USA websites sell non-UK spec! Import duties/shipping/handling fees can exceed £100! which must be paid to customs BEFORE release! PLUS non UK spec is also illegal to use, suffers interference & can be confiscated! British Dog's workshop is being inundated with requests to repair units which are FAULTY on arrival! UK buyers are being targeted by some suppliers who ship used/faulty stock knowing the difficulty with US returns.

 

as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, I'd much prefer a british bought item, that I could return if faulty, compared to an oversea's item with may take weeks/months/never see again, also after shipping fee's you'd end up paying more than you would here,

or am I reading this wrong?

i thought they were warning you against buying from usa. the website is british-dog.co.uk so sounds like this country. and as far as im aware the deben stuff is british. thats why it costs so much i suppose!!!

I dealt with them about 5 years ago without a problem. They sell UK sourced ferreting equipment.

 

Their web page is years out of date, they haven't had any Mk1 finders for at least 5 years, I had the last one off them.

 

Best to give them a ring or email for the latest prices.

They dont do any ferreting kit anymore after i rang them about fifty times trying to get through ,i was gutted thought i was onto a winner still rate the mk1s.

I'm looking for ferret locators as well for the September season with one of my Jills for the first time so I'm just doing a bit of price searching just now.
