Swampy 147 Posted May 13, 2009 Report Share Posted May 13, 2009 work nights for london underground, pest control good bits, bird work, proofing against pidgeons or shooting pidgeons and getting paid for it bad bits, adits and cleaning pidgeon shite Some guys have all the luck.My mate used to work in pest control and would cry about having to do overtime shooting pidgeons.Some people dont know a good thing when they have it.I would have done it for free.atb .Catcher 1 You'd have to ! JPTfellterrier 65 Posted May 13, 2009 Report Share Posted May 13, 2009 work as a tropical fish advisor (think thats my official role) in a pet shop saturday and sunday.....rest of the week diddly squit, started a course and am thinking about leaving after two days since the man was very rude when i said i couldnt get there for 20 minutes today (i live in the middle of nowere and it takes about 40-50 mins drive to get there), so back to the drawing board i think i like to class my jobs during the week as lurcher and terrier cuddler, lurcher and terrier walker (5 miles min a day), lurcher and terrier shite picker uper rer, profesional bum siter on erer............although have taken up cooking to kill time:D Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Without them you wouldn't get your qualifications. You should ask yourslelf why they do the job? Gamekeeping is hardly reknown for good pay and some folk are forced due to financial reasons to go where the money is (sad but true). Others have taken it up for family reasons, babies, etc. It is a competitive market out there and land is decreasing so the work isn't as abundant. There are a lot of crap keepers out there without doubt. Some have only got their jobs through nepotism. I applaud those who have the common sense to seek a qualification for their profession and to that you have to have someone to guide them to achieve it. So don't kock them. Without them you'd have less of a chance in achieving your own goal in become a keeper yourself. However, everyone likes a pioneer so don't let preconcieved ideas deter you from your own goals and ambitions. I know of one nouveau riche landowner who would consider it, if only to prove to others he is a progressive kind of guy. Use people like that for your own ends. A girl keeper would soon be known throughout the community and if you're good it will get you noticed by others. Do it if only for your own self gratification!
