scottishlass 57
Well as you know i have a cat well its really my sister in laws she is now working so many months at a time in the usa then back home for a couple of months so we got the cat i would never have another. Since we moved we have had problems with a stray cat coming in and helping its self to our cats food and fighting so terriers are now on bodyguard duty But our cat seems to be far better than the terriers i spotted a wee baby rabbit outside eating hen's food now the thought came to my heed shoot it or let dogs find it or leave till its a bit bigger, i took up the second but it went away under the hens house's so i gave up . but when i went to get changed for going oot last night here was wee bugs in the middle of the floor deed with one ear chewed off yep the cat had got him far better than a lurcher or terrier
Malt 379
What a shame. I know cats will be cats, but could you imagine the outcry there'd be if peoples dogs killed the amount of protected species that cats do? Fecking animals...
J Darcy 5,871
Cats, magpies, crows and squirrels. A nesting birds nightmare. The squirrels and cats should not be even in our countryside.
Irish Setter 1
Thats well annoying!!! There are not a lot of cats round here, my neighbour has one but because of the dogs he don't come into my garden. Have a pair of blackbirds here who year after year would nest in a bush right in the dog run, and year after year every chick was killed by the dogs when they left the nest. I cut down the bush in the end and they have moved into the hedge outside the run now Setter
bill88 6
Sorry to hear that Trace,we had two clutches in two years destroyed by cats and magpies, and my wee lurcher would go through flames to get at anything feline.Have now invested in a sonic cat scarer.Touch wood up till now its kept the cats away.
