nice rottie ,should help keep unwanted attention from the lurcher,thats what i used to use ours for.

In the nineties, Plummer wrote an article about how many generations it would take after adding the merle gene via border collies before the resultant beardie/border crosses could be classed as pure beardies. Lo and behold, a year or so later, he claimed to have proof that pure beardies could carry the merle gene...and expected none of us to question it. :doh:

If you look on wikipedia under collie you can see that all collie breeds are capable of the merle gene. I don't see why he would breed Border Collies to Beardies just to get a certain colour when they already exist. I guess it's because they are hard to come across. :blink: Pretty dog Jack looks like it has some brains, hope it does good for you.

How can you tell by looking at a dog that it as some brains :icon_eek: Thats a new one for THL
