After reading through a few other discussion regarding the fenn mk6 being the only commercially available rabbit trap, in which to set in holes, and with many regarding it as being far less humane and simply not for the job as the jubys and imbras were, I thought a discussion on what would make a more effective, yet lightweight design, possibly taking features from all the traps mentioned above would make an appropriate and possibly, interesting topic. anyone with suggestions on what they believe makes the fenn not so ideal for the job and how it could be improved (possibly the ideal desi

The grey squirrel reduction programme is going well to plan. Here's a clip of a Fenn Mark4 in action. Don't they just love peanut butter! Also a Tit (?) comes to watch. Now editted to shorter length.

Ive loojed at other posts about mink on this forum and they dont seem to answer some of my questions. So yesterday we did our first pheasant shoot of the year. And as walking through a wood a beater said he spotted a mink run into a little dried up stream. This stream hasnt been running for a few years now. Do i look for a nearby pond in the woods or just set traps near to where to was spotted? Im using mk6 fenns and a kania 2000 baited with rabbit. The ponds in the wood are more like mud pools but this area is also a few hundred meters from a flowing river. Whats my best option?

1st make sure the trap is the correct way round you would be susprised how many dont. 2nd rub your hands in soil. 3rd allow the trap to rust a little this will make it less visible to thiefs and the rabbits. 4th dont use materials from another location to help cover the trap. 5th try to place in very well used tunnels not bolt holes youve seen the rabbits just run into.
