Well yesterday morning was a 4am start and a 500+ mile round trip in the hope of photographing mountain hares, spent 6 hours on the hills searching and scouting, 3 hares seen in that time and a total of 20 minutes spent with a young mountain hare... I had a b&b booked as was planning to spend a full day with the hares and stay until sunset for the hope of some backlit images but I cancelled the b&b and decided on the drive home instead due to the lack of opportunities as hares were very scarce on the ground, landed home about 9pm. I used to get some half decent shots of an old dogfox local to me. well he never made it through the winter but his offspring are doing well this fox is from the same clan not technically the best but it was good to catch up with them anyway
