Looking to be able to do some revision and learning in the process by going through the DSC1 question bank. Although the questions are at http://www.dmq.org.uk/downloads/DSC1%20Wri...uestions%20.pdf, I can't find the answers anywhere so I'm not much further ahead. Does anyone have them/know where they are? TIA S

Hi Guys. My dad said I cannot get a firearms lisence until i am either 18 and own my own house or I have to pay to do my DSC1. I was reading up on doing my DSC1 (because I have more chance of then getting a firearms lisence ASAP becausei am 14 years old) and it says candidates need to be able to prove they are an accurate shot with a legal deer calibre rifle but to handle a rifle dont you need to have a firearms lisence so I was wondering do you need a firearms lisence to do your DSC1 or not? Many Thanks, Will.

I am going to sit this dsc 1 in september and just want to know will this help my case for a firearms cert, i have owned a shotgun cert for 5 years and would like to own my own rifle for going to weekend stalks etc? I am also a pest control tech for some time and would like a .22lr for rabbits but dont have the land at the moment, will this help gaining both a firearms cert and showing the land owner / farmer that i am a competent person with a firearm? please comment to help me wit this one thanks

Hi, I am all gearing up to doing my DSC1 in the New Year. I have had the manual and best practice quide as well as the deerquest cd. Although I havent had my head in them for a while now i am confident i will pick it all up again quickly [that which i have forgotten]. i found a good place in ayrshire, got in touch and had a good chat about doing it up there, but.... she who must be obeyed has pointed out that it is a 4 hr drive up there and money being tight she thinks i should look closer to home if possible as there could be a big difference in petrol costs. unfortunately due

Well i am now, officially, a trained hunter I have been on my DSC1 course over the passed 4 days and i have now passed. It was held at ilkley through the BDS and it was lead by Vince Reynolds of viper engineering. I found the whole course to be highly enjoyable and also educational and a great way to spend 4 days. I managed to ace all of the exams getting 20/20 on the visual test, 48/50 on the 'Written' paper and 39/40 on the game assessment test and i passed the safety test fine. I did have a bit more trouble with he shooting test for the knelt of sticks but this was stopped when i borro

We have a good few members here, how many hold 1 or both qualifications or are registered? Think this might be interesting. I have both and am "approved" as a witness now.
