Leica Customer Service...amazing
RedRowan replied to hiddenmongoose's topic in Shooting Equipment & Accessories
Their aftercare is good. A mate of mine had an accident with his Leica binos, admittedly through his own fault. He took them back to the shop to ask about getting a broken lens replaced. A week or so later they came back from Leica with a new lens and no charge for the repair. It's good to hear of positive customer service like this. -
I've had a Fuera smock for a few years. I originally bought it for walking on drier days but have also worn it fishing and deer stalking on open hill on milder evenings. Despite being made from very thin and lightweight material it is still in remarkably new looking condition. I like the freedom of movement when wearing a lightweight garment such as this. I would be reluctant to wear mine if I anticipated heavy downpours, moving close to barbed wire or pushing through brash but for stalking through an open woodland or wearing out on the hill in milder weather with short rain showers it gives e

I bought the monsoon smock after hearing and reading some good things about it. Despite what I'd heard I quickly found myself disliking it as any sort of activity whilst wearing it just led to me being soaked in sweat and in heavy rain it leaked like a sieve so no matter what I would usually feel wet and uncomfortable whilst wearing it. Also bought the pintail pants at the same time as I got the monsoon smock, again in my experience these were not at

Thanks again Neil, you've been a big help and probably saved me a lot of hours.

Funny you should say that Neil. The farmer spotted a lone fox cub sniffing around at a carcass in one of his fields. That's what made me wonder if they would already be starting to look for their own food. Thanks for the tip Jack. This is all new to me. It seems with foxes the more you know them and the more tricks you have up your sleeve the better!

I don't usually deal with foxes so know very little about them, hence this naive question.... at what sort of age will fox cubs usually start fending for themselves? Know it sounds soft but would rather shoot cubs first. If I get a chance at vixen/other adults hoping I might be able to take them without feeling too much guilt.

Hi folks, New member from Dundee area here. My main interest is deer stalking but I also shoot rabbits and fish for wild trout too. As well as shooting with a rifle I like to get out with the camera now and again RR
