  1. havnt seen that cross before, well mate if you've read the above that should tell you which greyhound to use, i wouldve thought the pups should make decent dogs, the irish terrier is renouned to have plenty of fire in its belly and being a terrier it'll have plenty of stamina and brains , would think your first crosses would top out at 22.5/23 ats
  2. at the end of the day mate it doesnt matter weather its 1st edition or 2nd edition its still the the same rubbish, who in the right mind will pay 70+ when you can get it on ebay for 20. i got this book a couple of years ago and thought it was very boring, as for COCH-Y-BONDDU BOOKS they are just greedy fxxxers, a few yrs ago at the CLA at biggleswade they wanted £65 for MY LIFE WITH LURCHERS BY D HANDCOCK and i got it of ebay for £7 2weeks later
  3. whoever invented it shouldve had their arse wiped with it, my lurchers are 22.5/23 inch and they both have there fair share of scars. one day the whippet and lurchers jumped from a hedge over the pignet and barb fence, when the terrier followed suit he caught his foreskin on a barb and ripped it, it made my eyes water and he squelled everytime he took a piss for the next 2 days
  4. fill yer boots mate, i'd have followed her home and showed her my ferret :11: , 15yrs ago when i was 20 i gave a 62yr old a portion of helmet and enjoyed every minute and there was no permission involved, just a young lad abliging an old girls wishes, yer mates are only jealous mate

  7. my mates grandfather once told us that he once dug down to his terrier and a very limp dead fox, after he pulled out the fox him and his mate all had hold of it and examined it, they layed it on the field and got stuck in with the backfill when he turned around to pick up the fox it had scarpered, it also was playing possum or as we would say "it was foxun" as reguards to putting hares to ground, last winter i was out and my lurcher put a hare to ground in a disused fox earth, it was the 1st time that had ever happened to me
  8. yep, brocks got it in one, sounds like a strong un
  9. had a plummer that would bush all day, if there was something in there he would push it out, had a brilliant nose on him and was awesome at ratting, a mate of mine had a pure wheaton dog and it was also a very good bushing dog, no fear of it going to ground as i was too big, it had endless stamina and would hunt for fun, but it crunched everything it caught, had plenty of guts and determination would run thru thre thickest of cover, working together we had alot of fun with them 2
  10. these are my kennels, firstly the shed is 20ft long and 6ft deep, the bed boxes for the lurchers are 3ft x 3ft theboxes for the whippet and terriers are 3ft x 2ft all boxes are 28inch high, the runs are 3ft x9ft and i find them big enough, mine are also out either end of the day and sleep all the time, the runs have a galvanised roof and plastic sheeting on the outsides of the mesh as my backs catch a lot of wind, theres 6 runs in total but one is full of firewood and theres an extra bed box in it so as you can see the terrier bitch the choice of 2 beds and she prefers to sit on top, the floor is

  12. dress accordingly for the occasion(no short skirt and low cut top)play it by ear and see how it goes, honesty is the best policy and just follow your heart, if the hair thing is still bothering you but you still like him, just say something like "i think a crew cut would suite you," and believe me he'll probably sort it out, as for the age gap, well lifes to short to worry about trivial thing like that, all the best with whatever you decide

  18. top chalker, firstly i'd like to say thanks for your comments about my dog, cheers mate, 2ndly that white dog is in incredible condition and looks the part but the black dog(and this is maybe due to the fact you took it with a camera phone) ,but it looks to me as if it could do with a good feed, now im not having a go because you had a go at my mate's mates dog but it does look similar to that white bull x of his, all the best in what you do this winter, perhaps you could put another pic of that black dog and prove me wrong, and if you can prove me wrong, i will be man enough to appologise....

  20. very tidy pair of dog mate, are they litter mates and what height are they, i bet they are a force to be reckoned with when doubled up
  21. 4dog are on blankets and home made duvets and old jumpers and 1 lurcher is on newspaper as she shredded the blankets, i just scrunch the paper up and through it in she just shreds it, sometime some of the paper gets pulled out into the run, but its never enough to cause any probs
