these two dogs are out of the same dam, they are 13months old and are both 22,3/4 inch at the shoulder, bez( the one with the leg injury)isnt looking his best as he lost a lot of weight when he injured his leg, bez was 34lb but he wont be that at the minute, and foggy is about 38/39lbs,

i think ive havnt explained my self clearly, ive been getting a constant 30mpg for the last 18month with a set of toyo road tyres on, a tank of fuel lasts me a fortnight, but due to it being crap off road, i fitted the greenways a fortnight ago, the same day i fueled up and this last fortnight the mpg has dropped to 19mpg, i had an idea the drag would drop the mpg but was alarmed to see how much,hope that a bit clearer rabbithunter, thanks for the mechanical info anyway mate cheers hairyface

try cleaning out the injector's... bit of redex in the tank to clean the exhaust lines.... and every now and then, add hydraulic tappet release into the oil, especially if you use cheap oil. Also, air fiter is a common one, change it regularly to keep up fuel comsumption. should change oil & filter every 6,000 although this shouldnt effect the mpg. Simply undo the sump plug, oil filter is 2 pipes and one plug in electrical connection usually. Fuel filter's another one, change every 10,000 its pretty simple, its 4 pipes swap like for like. release the injector pipes from the head

ive had a crewcab hilux for 18month and i think it ok, was getting 30mpg on a regular basis and on a good run 33mpg, but without a diff lock i find them crap off road. so last week i fitted a set of GREENWAY MACHO tyres- 30x9.3x15 and now the fecker will go anywhere, last saturday i tried all day to get it stuck and i couldnt, but thats maybe an advert for the greenway tyres rather than the hilux, heres a pic these tyres a very noisy on the road, which doesnt bother me but when ifuelled up yesterday the mpg had dropped to 19mpg(which does bother me ) will this just be down to the tyres o

i suppose its personal preference really, when ive fed rabbits in the past ive always skinned and gutted them and just chucked it to the dogs, as roz said the dogs have a built in mincer, i supose theres always a risk of them choking when feeding bone especially with pups as they wont have the same jawpower as an adult, i once had a terrier that choked on a piece of cheese so the possibilty is there, just recently after my whippet lost abit of weight i was advised to boil the rabbit in a big pan with some cabbage/carrot/leek/onion/lamb mince/beef mince and chicken and make a big stew, he's lov

Yes would be my answer,i've seen them advertised as bull/greyhound 2nd crosses. Most of us think 3/4 breds when we say 2nd cross but in this case they would be 1/2x1/2 bred. yes the pups would be half crosses but they would be 2nd generation half crosses, i'm also inclined to think a 3/4 bred dog is a 2nd cross(1st cross=1/2 1/2, 2nd cross= 1/4 3/4)providing the 1st cross as gone back to a greyhound
