A ferret that won't eat rabbit! Ha ha!

Either way it's a good bit of footage of old fashion hunting dogs.

Anyone Running 3/4 Greyhound 1/4 Border Collie

what was wrong with the dogs you had mate? If there were any problems and they went down hill should of contacted David.A fella o get on well with has had 14 hancocks his latest being 16 months old I think, all his dogs have worked to a good std and he was happy with them. He does ferreting hunting and lamping all do everything he wants. He did say that he wouldn't have beardy x off him or any of the naughty boys pups as the sires are narrow and shallow chested. That's why he sticks to border x as a rule. I personally think Hancock should breed the beardy border x like he does the border as t -

similar build my young bitch collie bull whippet x saluki grey, only a pup at min but very strong very quick turns on a sixpence, high hopes for this one plus she's a looker!

I don't think he'll come a cropper in any way there's bales of straw n piles of grain rather than sharp machinery every where n main sets are in a soil banking any other obstacles will be moved by the farmer rest of them are in the pipes n drainage systems which will be getting smoked out my little bitch would be ideal but she's in season so I'll just take my deer grey x whippet at 25tts he's not gonna be a ratting machine but it's a day out plus when every ones gone I'm gona lamp rabbits in the surrounding fields!

Farmers having a bash with us he'll see us right
-
a lot of where we will be working is a banking on the edge of a field so that shouldn't be hard on the dogs feet but there will obviously round the yards and silage piles even the farmers gardens so we'll see how it goes.

Great theory big lurks! It's something new for em, plus I'm toying with the idea getting a terrier my self be nice to see how the get on, Dogs have there leptospirosis jabs so I'm looking forward to it.

One of my permissions up Yorkshire is comprised of a few farms spread out around the arable land, this year rats have colonised around the farms more than usual...I shot 19 just walking round with air rifle and lamp and saw a lot more! I am going back Sunday with a few guys, smokers and terriers, was wondering should I take my lurchers along for the day out? I wouldn't of thought it would do then any harm. Anyone used lurchers on rats wich caused negative effects in the dogs behaviour? There already hard mouthed so that don't bother me!

Makes me glad I've got two dogs, couldn't bear not going out!
-
After a good few cleans it's not as bad as I first thought a lot of what looks like wound is just dried blood thank god, I'll just keep it clean n see how he goes.
-
pictures a bit crap but my dogs has come back from a Lamping session with a right nasty slit/split on the webbing between his two biggest toes and it looks deep. I've never had this sort of injury before I'm keeping it clean with salt water but any ideas how long he needs to be laid up/how long it will take to heel? Thanks.

not raw no but but my freezer is not big enough to cope with the amount of rabbits I get to freeze each one for long enough to kill parasites so I slow cook the rabbits, I shoot ferrel and wood pigeons for farmers I also get ducks geese and pheasants so freezer space is at a premium the ferrets get through there fare share though!
-
I feed rabbit cooked in a slow cooker for 48 hours because the bones are soft enough to eat after that long and feed it whole, bones, guts, fur the lot and because my dogs seem to be able to pick round the veg bits so cooked together they get the job lot! Also I feed raw meat off cuts and scraps I get off a butcher for a quid per big bag which generally lasts a week so costs me quid a week to feed my dogs can grumble really!

My two which you know well ryaldinho are close ages because if one got injured I couldn't bear not going out and one of each sex because if they both turn out good dogs then I have a foundation for breeding my own. I will decide when to breed etc when I feel the time is right, there both still nippers at the minute!

I think she is collie bull whippet, Im sure laddylurcher will be on and confirm. She is looking that she will make a right bitch. Dont get me wrong, they both are good dogs, but for what I would personally want in a dog and for the work I could give it, she would be the one. Always looks like a coiled spring and when she runs its like she isnt even trying! like theres plenty in reserve if needed. On top of that shes soft as a brush and an absolute stunner!collie bull whippet x saluki greyhound she's kept a nice stocky whippet size and shape though which I wanted definitely got the saluki stam

nice to see Ry with a smile on his face today trying to use his new locator! Good day out despite the breeze, the long nets and dogs worked well today. Lots of land to go at but we're just getting a feel for the place so not a massive bag but we still both took a few bunnys home. Nice to see Ry's Young hob starting to bolt them, onwards and upwards now for his young team. My silver hob worked like a trooper again, best ferret I've ever Owned what a legend he is and my young pups get better and better. The future is bright for this ferreting team!!
