I have worked with german hunt terriers in germany where they where first bred,the ones i worked with where first class under ground dogs,above they where not as good,a little hectic for my liking,and good luck to anyone looking to buy one for 300,pup or otherwise,as guys in uk and ireland are looking stupid money for pupd,650 ster or 800 euro,and knowing this,guys abroad are looking for a 1000euro plus.....madness!!!!!

Thanks to the above,some good leads there....with regards to the terrier i got the straws from..a jadg terrier(german hunting terrier) it is,and i was interested in the so called"failed"dogs,as fogs can be turned,using different methods from a different person.

The colour is personal preference...the breeding project is that while i worked in germany ,i saw and seen working a small german hunting terrier,that was all choclate in colour,this dog was the real deal,worked morning to night on red and was afraid of nothing,i tried to buy the dog,but under no circumstances was in for sale,but i did get 2 straws off the owner...and thst is the badis for what i want to breed.

Does anybody in the uk or ireland(im from ireland)know of any breeders of choc coloured smooth type patterdales,with heavy bull infleunce,looking for a dog and bitch suitable for a new breeding project.Thanks.
