    sounds like batteries but try cleaning the contacts and inside the coller cap as it needs to be a good shiny contact steve

    sounds like distemper but that would have killed the jills as well agree postmortem is only way to know for sure

    try cleaning the contact on the coller as well as the cap its rare for the collers to break down and try the batteries even new ones may be flat

    we use a jack russell and a plummer both mark and hold rabbits in the net and are broke to ferrets

    listen to everybody then pick out the good advice from the rubbish always use a locater get ferrets from working stock and if possible tag along with someone with experience and don't be afraid to ask for advice it will come. getting the land is the hardest bit good luck Steve

    it is probably network rail land expect a big fine if caught i have a permit for the railways but they are very hard to get

    best to try them with an experienced ferret they will soon get hang of it but it will be next year before they are good workers small warrens are best for first year if possible 5/6 months is about right to start them off

    its not the cold that kills ferrets as long as they are dry cold doesn't effect them more likely a weakness you couldn't do anything about ferrets are good at covering illnesses up was she lighter than the other jill
