  1. I think the only regret I have was being too shy at school and trying too hard to do well at exams etc. Academics might look good on your CV but it means nothing. My biggest hero's is my mate that I've known almost all my life who is dyslexic. He's a bloomin legend, he does rather than just saying. I wish I could be more like him.
  2. Closest place for decent beach fishing for me
  3. If the internals of said springer are identical, with the.22 being more efficient it will be higher powered. Using a pellet like rws hobby might help bump the power up though - if it likes them! I've had the hw99 in both cals now the.177 ran at around 9fpe the .22 is currently running at 10.2 with rws superfields and 10.7 with rws hobbies
  4. They were rested :/ I'm sure I can tighten those up haven't shot open sights since last year but these show a glimmer of hope I think
  5. Then the 25yds shame about the outlyers. Zeroed her after the 20yd by the way
  6. Here you go jimmy I reckon I can do better not the biggest fan of the rws she's spitting at the mo but jsbs are on there way These are the 20 yarders.
  7. Right then Jimmy just had a fettle of the 99s trigger tonight and I popped the scope off to do the work then I remembered this thread, so I've bunged the Iron sights on. I'm off down to the range tomorrow I'll do some on the 20yd maybe 25 if it goes well and I'll pop a pic up
  8. Air Arms are having a right giggle at this.
  9. Haha I was told off by the missus for telling her what all the different species were called!
  10. We went to the aquarium too cracking place you actually see uk fish lol yes spotted that but we spotted the fish e baits place on the way to the aquarium, it's in an industrial estate down from the coop, for some reason the signposts for the aquarium take you through out and back in bit of a long way around but hey ho
  11. Just a quick one gents. Was up in Silloth last week, managed a couple of hours with the carp rod and a single hook rig with fresh lug. Bites from the off and connected with a stout doggy and a small dab. Lad at Fish e baits in Maryport is the man for fresh bait. Says they are getting plenty of ray around silloth at the mo. Alt best
  12. Is it just me, or does anyone else not quite understand how the power on the prosport can fade over time? Obviously apart from the usual wear and tear of seals and perhaps the need for stripping and relubing, new spring etc? Just like any other springer would need at some point? There are two big plus points for the prosport in my eyes, one is no anti-bear trap device thingy, and the other is the open action when the breech is open. Underlevers are a pain to load and you will drop pellets in there- it always made me smile when I have accidentally dropped a pellet when loading and it
  13. Out of the box I'd go with the TX. But I'd put myself on the line and say that the 97 has the potential to be a 'sweeter' gun. I've heard a lot of bad reports about the HW's out of the box, and judging by my 99 I'd agree that the finishing isn't what you would expect from them, but the gun itself shoots very well and that's in comparison to my old prosport which was fettled. I would go the 97 route myself. But it's completely down to you, try before you buy if poss.
  14. My mate has one. It's a fantastic gun for plinking, great for standing shots as it's very muzzle heavy and weighs about 2kg. Super light cocking effort with the super long barrel, and about 20kg trigger pull weight. Quiet too!
  15. They are awesome plinkers. Fill em with lead and you get some seriously hard hitting ammo
  16. The prosport is a lovely rifle. Some folk have had issues with the underlever. Rez off here has. However I haven't had any issues, other than because it is so low down the weight is all on the front end when you cock it.
  17. I'll be trying some open groups with the 99 soon. I'll post pics. I like the idea of doing away with a scope, but I'm a bit simple like that My first proper airgun was an AA s200 multishot with 6-24x50 illuminated scope, then I moved to an AA prosport with a 3-9x40 Bushnell, now I'm on a hw99 with a 4x32 trijicon and loving it. If I can group with open sights I might do away with the scope too!
  18. Hey I'd give it a go. But it must take the piss trying to cater for more than 1 person
  19. Farmer will be well happy with that jimmy
  20. I'd love to see a ruffe the size of a big perch, like 2lb plus. Same with a gudgeon, can you imagine the fight???
  21. Time and patience Phil, think about your hold and hold her consistently, not tight just loose let her recoil how she wants to. If your testing off a bench a cushion is a good help at first
  22. I'm pretty sure pellpax do
  23. Reserved for cattykid123 pending payment until next week
