Well folks I covered a 5km stretch of the Aire yesterday without anything substantial. Must have dropped into 15 or so swims with breadflake, one swim produced several small chub upto about 6oz, if the bait was sat longer than a couple of minutes it was mullered by crays. It was good to catch the target species but the big fish are seemingly on holiday. I don't think the bright light helped, I spooked a couple of decent fish with my shadow, probably would have come into it's own near sunset but I didn't have the time.
