  1. Forget them get a pair of Vass they are solid
  2. Yeh crack on just give em a wipe down after use, especially the handle. Take care of your reel too.
  3. Interesting about the AA springers they are super smooth. Wonder what his take on the Walther range are. HW's, German diamonds in the rough.
  4. Think you will have most of THL on there Matty!!
  5. Roast it and shred with pancakes and hoi sin sauce yum
  6. In all fairness... Where exactly has this been going on? Your looking in all the wrong forums
  7. Love them. Love the lakes too, used to go on family holidays all the time ?
  8. Some of the lads at the range have .357's, but they are huge, the barrels have to be long for legal reasons and they have an arm rest too. I think you can get .22rf pistols that actually look like a pistol. There's a few pistol target shooters about too, have a look at the AA pistol and the brocock ones, they look immense.
  9. Heavy stuff for 10mm lead... Green dub dub or double theraband. Wax the tips of the fork to limit cracking
  10. Aye mark .22 only as treecreeper has said- think the 99s is just too jumpy in .177 at full power. Out of the box, I think I'd be more tempted to buy a Walther LGV in .22. Failing that an AA prosport/tx200, in .177 or .22. I think the HWs are lacking a bit of finish at the moment
  11. Think I'm more worried about the ones from Hull mushroom
  12. Been watching the angling addicts forum and it looks like the first of the cod are coming out and whilst in robin hoods bay yesterday we watched a guy walk off the beach with 4 decent cod in hand, so west and east should be good for it. Anyone else targeting them this winter? I'll be getting a couple of sessions in at Hull and Blackpool hopefully- had a couple from Hull last year
  13. Thanks Mark Are you selling these sticks now lol I do fancy a pair in all fairness...
  14. I think Rowan engineering do a straight set back trigger for the HW's....
  15. I bet it would have a right kick as well. I bet a .25 doing 800fps on a springer would be a lot of fun though.
  16. Pretty much Phil what he is saying is that if you aim dead on the cross hairs you will hit anything within half an inch with side of the cross hair out to 41yds. I was wondering mark how you found shooting at steep angles with the springer?? As I imagine the weight distribution get's a bit messed up??
  17. With the larger cal being smoother to shoot, do you think you could customise a hw80 to be very powerful but smooth in .25? Say like 40-50ft lbs
  18. You will get a lovely scope for that money. I have had the mountmaster and gameking from Nikko but I don't rate them, I think the glass and build quality are a bit naff. I'm a big fan of the Bushnell trophy, and mtc genesis UL or mamba range. Good optics.
  19. Good man. Are you tempted to get a set back trigger for the 99?
  20. Get a 4x32 on it rez Good going
  21. Some great points gents. But some of you are turning this into just another straight up .177 vs .22 thread lol!! This is all about the spring gun. I really asked because I don't have much experience on .22 springers and wanted some input from those who shoot both cal springers. Are .22 springers really that much nicer to shoot than there .177 counterparts is what I think I really want to know...
  22. Cheers gents. And mac, thanks for all those email notifications that have just flooded my account lol 'bigmac97kt has quoted a post you made...' So that's 5-2 to .22 discounting macs extras
  23. Thanks for the replies gents. That's 2-2 so far...
  24. Nice one Mackem - what else is good eating over there? Char and arctic grayling etc?
