  1. An old school target, made of 2 inch thick steel, must of been for artillery guns tanks anti aircraft stuff from the war, it looked like it was the size of a garage but kind of collapsed. Would have been awesome to see it being tested out properly. It had some right war wounds. Found a few little baggies of greens before...
  2. Sorry mac Back to the drawing board for me then sorry team
  3. I must confess I've never used the square stuff!
  4. I found superfields to be very consistent too. Nice one. Yeah I think that will settle with time, check after every tin of pellets it should calm down
  5. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/349182-for-a-friend/?do=findComment&comment=4064381 Here's a rustic yew one I did for a friend, I don't mind doing his initials on if you fancy that. I band mine up with looped tubes.
  6. I have some forks ready to be finished, are you after one with bands or just the fork? £10 fork alone or £12.50 banded, both inc postage.
  7. Think he means that trout are out of season now, winter is there breeding season/close season. The salmon/sea trout have a later season I think but they are on a separate migratory rod license and I think there probably out of season by now too.
  8. Cushty, I have had them on all methods in the cold... They bite all year round- fly, worm and maggot you name it. You can't get through to the grayling and Chu for them sometimes!!
  9. 3 layer event or goretex is uber waterproof.... But kind of stiff and noisey. And expensive. Pertex is a bit shit. Had it on a couple of lightweight coats and a rab bivi bag... Useless imo.
  10. Very nice, they are quite the beast! Ideal vermin for FAC air/rimfire I'd imagine?
  11. Hawke glass is ok not the clearest I've seen stick to mtc/Bushnell/nikon etc I'd personally avoid Nikko Stirling and Hawke
  12. What's it going on bud? My personal opinion would be something with a 32-40mm lens clear glass 4x mag, I currently use a Bushnell legend 3-9x40 which is great, and you can pick up a good example for under £100. Mtc genesis UL is a cracker too
  13. My mate swears by stihl
  14. Get the imp you have had a 95, 98, 97, 77... Seems silly to get anything but a 99, which is perfect in .22.
  15. If .22 then 99 if .177 95 Get a thumbhole walnut Cs stock it would be a right dirty treat.
  16. Slow cook the meat until it drops off the bone. You can do what you like with the meat now- spag bol, pies, ravioli, pasties, you name it. Then wack the bones etc back into the slow cooker (don't clean it!) with a few carrots and onions and water salt pepper oxo cube and cook again for as long as you dare, sieve it all then you have game stock you can even bang a bit of red wine in or reduce it down.
  17. You tried coffee yet
