  1. Loving the springers. That looks like a tank. Shame about the 95, hearing about a lot of that kind of thing from the hw stable. Hope they learn from it soon!
  2. Hi mate he will have it, I'll drop you a pm
  3. Hi mate I might have someone in mind for it, I'll let you know a bit later on this eve
  4. A bit of extra info will help bud what cal? What pressure are you filling to and how many shots are you doing per fill? Are the mounts loose?
  5. 11ft/lbs in mine, about 800fps with .177 Falcons at 7.33 grains
  6. Plum makes cracking wine, come next autumn we will be making some. Enjoy
  7. The first thing I think of when I get a scope is mag and then I can work out what size objective I need to shoot on said mag to get the best light for 7x I'd be looking at 50mm + myself to give you atleast 7mm exit pupil. They say more than 8mm is waste but less and you will struggle in low light.
  8. Hazel is great, look for one that has been coppiced you get nice straight sticks from them. Season them well. Oh and a mate has used ash saplings before they are straight and tend to be a bit hefty
  9. Hi folks looking for a scope for a bit of an experiment, something like a Simmons wtc 1.5-5x20 or bsa 1-4x24 not looking to spend loads but still need a good condition scope. Tube scratches aren't a problem but scratches on the lenses definitely are. Cheers
  10. I think he meant recoil as in he threw it back at the shopkeeper! The guy sounded like a bit of an eejit, I would be a bit annoyed to trek to a shop to find out he told me the wrong lens size. Would have gone some place else to buy the falcons! Good luck with the falcons mark my ps enjoys them.
  11. Had one of those JW avon/quivers great rods caught a bit of everything on them my only problem was the guides were a little small. I had a great do it all rod which was a ten foot wychwood marginaliser, rated at 2lb tc, now there wasn't a lot that this couldn't do and I caught loads on it. Great for carp, pike, lure fishing, sea fishing, big bream/tench, stalking, and a great through action for playing fish. It was essentially a short carp rod with a short handle, very useful tool. But my fave rod ever is a 4 piece daiwa spinning rod at 5 foot. There's not a lot of places you can't ta
  12. No worries. I think mtc are still producing the mamba if that's what you mean? I have personally had the mamba and the genesis UL, and would pick the genesis UL every time, might be worth a look. Rez likes them as well, although they are a 25mm tube.
  13. Mamba lite is only in 25mm I believe bud, the 30mm mamba has the IR and is a bit heavier
  14. Sad to hear that JD, hope everything gets sorted quickly. My work was very close to being affected, I work near Shipley. Drove through a small village down the road from us and it looks like the blitz. Rubbish attached to every branch, old walls reduced to rubble, caravans dumped in random places all crushed up like pop cans. A lot of businesses have been damaged beyond repair, shipping containers and even a pop up cafe have floated off and jammed into bridges. The response from locals has been incredible though, support groups popping up everywhere and everyone wants to lend a han
  15. Saw motorhead at st. Georges hall in Bradford. Proper rock, the place was swaying. Probably the best gig I've ever been to
  16. Same lads, I hit a brick wall with fishing a while back. I still love it and go occasionally, but mainly short sessions I the summer months with simple as possible gear and bait. f**k carp fishing, what a blag all the shiny gear is. Burns a right hole in your pocket and removes you from the real reason that you go fishing in the first place!!
  17. Walther lgv getting good press again, can't say I've heard anything bad about them. Good shooting
  18. They are lovely guns, you can't really ask much more from a springer
  19. Completely forgot about this thread. We sampled some a couple of nights back loved it not too sweet made good cocktail with prosecco!! Will be leaving the other bottle for a bit longer but there's gonna be about half a litre gone tonight
  20. Tom they are what I would call already tuned, the internals are very well made and organized
  21. Edinburgh is a cracker. Was up there for a year and loved the place. Portobello beach is my favourite place to go up there
